Kim Kardashian Removed as Managing Partner From SKKY Partners Private Equity Firm
She had co-founded the company with former Carlyle Group dealmaker Jay Sammons.
Kim Kardashian is now no longer managing the private equity firm — SKKY Partners — she co-founded in 2022 with former Carlyle Group dealmaker Jay Sammons.
In a new shakeup of events in the managerial side of SKKY Partners, this week’s securities filings at the company indicated that Kardashian is no longer an executive officer. Being that SKKY only secured a few more million dollars for the SKIMS flagship fund, the Kardashian did not translate into the fundraising achievements and expectations for the company. The duo wanted to raise at least $1 billion USD to acquire consumer companies, but had only secured $121 million USD and completed just one deal, investing in the truffle hot sauce-based company TRUFF. Since its conception in 2022, SKKY Partners only invests in SKKY and SKIMS, not enough to diversify its portfolio for a private equity firm.
According to the SKKY Partners website, Kardashian is only listed as a co-founder and senior operating advisor, whereas previously, she was named managing partner alongside Sammons. Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner was also removed entirely but was previously listed as a senior advisor. So far, neither Kardashian nor Sammons and SKKY have released a comment about the change in management.
