Update (December 27, 2024): Ahead of the official release of the Louis Vuitton x Murakami re-edition collection next week, Instagram account @liljupiterr took to social media to reveal new Zendaya for Louis Vuitton ads, giving fans a hint at what to expect from the upcoming campaign. In the images posted to the Instagram account, Zendaya is sporting some of re-edition’s most coveted items as she is green-screened on several backgrounds including the New York City skyline and a natural landscape next to scattering all-over prints of Takashi Murakami’s vibrant floral motifs.
In a new interview piece published by Vogue, Louis Vuitton also unveiled behind the scenes looks at the Zendaya for Louis Vuitton x Murakami shoot as she models both apparel and accessories pieces expected to be found in the collection. WWD also posted a new image of the campaign for Louis Vuitton’s relaunched collection with Murakami that is shot by Inez and Vinoodh and fronted by Zendaya. Today, the French luxury house shares the official campaign video starring Murakami himself. In the video, he can be seen sending a note to Zendaya all the way in New York from Japan to kick off the roll out of the campaign and collection launch. The house has also begun revealing campaign images of Zendaya for Louis Vuitton x Murakami on their social media.

Original Story (December 26, 2024):The internet has caught wind of a new campaign for the upcoming Louis Vuitton x Murakami re-edition collection. It seems that global phenom Zendaya has been enlisted to star in the new campaign for the house, first appearing on Reddit and TikTok.
The luxury fashion house has not confirmed when the Zendaya-featured campaign will roll out and release in full but the surfaced images see Zendaya wearing a selection of re-edition Louis Vuitton x Murakami pieces as she is green screened on top of a landscaped background. All-over graphics of artist Takashi Murakami‘s signature vibrant floral motifs are seen throughout the background, setting the stage for the series. Zendaya wears a laidback outfit that pairs flared denim jeans with a tight-fitting white cropped t-shirt, giving room for the re-edition pieces to be highlighted. She ties a white-based monogram LV x Murakami silk BB Bandeau around her neck, paired with a monogrammed Keepall in white, featuring the vibrant Murakami motifs all-over by her side.
