atmos and PUMA are running it back with a third take on PUMA’s “Sukajan” silhouette that draws design influence from the vintage souvenir jackets of the same name, brought back by US soldiers stationed in Yokosuka.
While the duo has adorned the sneaker with a hawk in last year’s silhouette and a tiger in the 2022 version, this go around is defined by its dragon embroidery.
Enfulged in an army green colorway, the suede sneakers feature striking dragon imagery on the lateral side of the upper atop a yellow-hued formstrip. On the medial side, a map of Japan is overlayed on top of the white outlined formstrip. The white and red embroidered map spotlights cities including Kyoto, Tokyo, Kobe and Osaka, while a mountain is embroidered closer to the heel next to “Japan” in cursive lettering. A white outsole rounds out the sneaker, with gold PUMA hits on the back of each heel as well as on the tongue.
