The Haider Ackermann-Designed "Snow Goose by Canada Goose" Collection Has Arrived
The line pays homage to original label name with a line of over 60 styles designed through Ackerman’s creative lens.
Canada Goose‘s new label Snow Goose, designed by Haider Ackermann, has finally arrived with a vast inaugural drop. The result is more than 60 versatile winter silhouettes offered in classic colors joined by boldly expressive hues and characterized by a spectrum of sensibilities drawing from the Canada Goose archives and Ackermann’s innovative style.
For the FW24 installment, Ackermann took his core inspiration from the sheer power of nature and the natural world as a means of tranquil escape. The campaign’s focus is the outerwear line’s stand-out pieces: the Rider Jacket and the Celestia Jacket. The Rider Jacket is based on the archival Peace Keeper Parka from the mid-90s, combining its oversized proportions with reflective accents, utility pockets and an adjustable waist. The Celestia Jacket is Snow Goose’s updated rendition of the classic shirt jacket, doused in a silver reflective finish that will illuminate when exposed to direct light.
The more tech-forward sensibilities of the range are counterbalanced with exuberant color applications, as well as an edgier side of the collection that utilizes a black-and-white diamond quilt pattern. The Squall Jacket & Squall Pant take cues from an archive shell set boasting prominent zippers throughout each segment, but the most notable aspect of the matching set is the eye-catching “Aquarius” blue hue. The Mirage Jacket is another high-saturation piece, featuring a deep green Arctic Tech fabric and a neon green stowaway hood. Elsewhere, the diamond quilt pattern mentioned earlier adds visual interest to outerwear and a range of knitted sweaters, which round out the collection with a cozier vibe.
Willy Vanderperrehe shot the recently unveiled campaign starring actor and producer Ethan Hawke and model Julia Nobis among others with diverse passions across the arts, sports and design.
The first drop of Haider Ackermann’s Snow Goose by Canada Goose is available now at the Canada Goose website and Canada Goose stores across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Stay tuned for the second drop on Tuesday, December 10th and a third drop later in the month.
