Monster Energy Athletes Flex Their Creative Muscles In Sneaker Workshop

Led by London Sneaker School.

Over the past few months, Monster Energy has been working with London Sneaker School in a new art series under its Ultra range that gives athletes the chance to fuel their creativity through crafting their own custom kicks.

Having previously collaborated with footballers from Brighton and Hove FC, the latest project welcomed the likes of snowboarder Will Smith, British GT Championship driver Erik Evans, mountain biker Vero Sandler, as well as other athletes and brand ambassadors to take part in the sneaker customization led by resident instructors Jase Cooper and Ish Bequessa.

The workshop largely focussed on London Sneaker School’s shoe design, developed to be a blueprint for participants who want to learn the ins and outs of shoe customization, while adidas and Vans athletes Sandler and Smith used shoes from their sponsors. These sneakers provided them the base, before selecting an assortment of materials, soles, and laces to add a personalized touch. With most athletes wearing sneakers day-to-day, their final designs became more experimental, seeing rope laces on textured suede overlays and metallic panels sewn on runner silhouettes.

Following on from the workshop, Monster Energy continues to stay committed to bringing creative experiences to those across the globe. Later this year, it plans to merge sports and art in a series of events for athletes and fans alike.
