Netflix welcomes Player 456 back to the game. Dropping its official trailer for the second season of Squid Game, the streamer reveals new challenges in a death match for the ages.

The second installment of the Korean thriller series sees Player 456 played by Lee Jung-Jae return as the titular character as he fights to survive in the competition and tries to put an end to the games all while saving lives. Since he has experience playing these games, he tries to coach the other 455 participants through the fatal “Red Light, Green Light” game, though his instructions were ignored.

The trailer gives audiences a glimpse of Player 456’s struggle as he leads the group to fight against the guards to survive the next wave of deadly challenges. Returning alongside Lee is Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho, and Lee Byung-hun as the mysterious Front Man. Hwang Dong-hyuk serves as director and executive producer. The new season arrives on December 26 on Netflix. Watch the trailer above.
