Kendrick Lamar's 'GNX' Projected To Debut at No. 1
Possibly giving him his fourth consecutive No. 1.
Kendrick Lamar is looking to open at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 with GNX.
HITS Daily Double reports that Dot’s surprise album is projected to earn 291,000 equivalent album units in its first week, including a whopping 325 million on-demand audio streams. If estimations are correct, the pgLang artist would have averaged 27 million streams per songs, earning 10 million more per track than predecessor Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
Lamar surprised fans with GNX as the weekend hit, with Sounwave producing the record alongside contributions from the likes of Jack Antonoff, Mustard, Kamasi Washington and more. Also joining Dot on the album were Roddy Ricch, SZA, mariachi singer Deyra Barrera. The project marked his first full-length release since departing Top Dawg Entertainment.
