Soul Burger is Soulio’s tribute to his childhood best friend DoeBurger, who passed away in 2021. The album’s more upbeat and animated sonic landscape is the rapper’s way of honoring his late best friend, who always encouraged Ab-Soul to create music that fans could dance to at shows. With Doe’s narration guiding the artist throughout the mixtape, he keeps in mind to persevere despite the challenges.
