We’ve collectively decided to add a general admission tier for “Cars & Kicks”, so that more can enjoy the event and sample our sponsors’ offerings. Hypedrive, the automotive arm of Hypebeast, is set to throw its next physical activation event – “Cars & Kicks.”
The night is in conjunction with both Jeff Staple – designer and founder of legendary streetwear label STAPLE – and premier Los Angeles automotive social club The Motoring Club. “Cars & Kicks” is to celebrate the thriving subcultures found within both automotive and sneaker culture, sharing the stories behind the collectors and their collections, while inviting newcomers to both genres through exploration and discovery.
During the event, a rare pairing of both highly coveted sneakers and cars will be on display from curated collectors, diving deeper into their passionate collections. Guests will also be invited to show off their cars and sneakers as well, with food, drinks, live music, gifts, merch, prizes and more. A fireside chat – with special guests Sean Wotherspoon, The Fast & The Furious actor RJ DeVera and others – will take place as well, discussing the topics of the night and fielding questions. Yokohama will also be on site, launching their latest line of apparel for purchase “ADVAN Essentials”, as well as other merchandise vendors such as Leen Customs, Tarmac Works, The Motoring Club and more.
Alongside admission, food and drink vouchers, ticket holders will be presented with an event pack, which will include a selection of curated products valued at over $200 USD:

In addition, 50 exclusive VIP tickets are available to purchase, which include the event pack as well as premium display parking of your car at the venue, and VIP access to the fireside chat. VIP ticket holders will also receive all three Leen Customs pin designs, Tarmac Cards trading card packs, and priority selection of T-shirt design and sizing – for all ticket holders, we will do our best to honor T-shirt sizes and design requests.
All attendees will also be automatically entered to win the grand prize of the night – an Inozetek full-car vinyl wrap worth $5,000 USD. The prize will be awarded to one ticket holder who arrives wearing “Sneaker of the Night,” as judged by our hosts. Yokohama will also award two sets of prizes – the most creative social reel of the night with hashtags #ADVANessentials and #onyokohamas will win a package of their new ADVAN Essentials apparel, and one secret guest will win a free set of high-performance Yokohama ADVAN tires.
The event will be held from 5pm – 8pm, with the fireside chat scheduled for 6:30pm. Food and vendors will also be made available to the general non-ticket holder attendees on The Motoring Club’s premises. Due to limited space, select lot and street parking is available to non-VIP ticket holders on a first-come first-served basis. Additional parking is available on surrounding blocks.
