Freddie Gibbs Drops New LP 'You Only Die 1nce'
A sequel to 2017’s ‘You Only Live 2wice.’
Freddie Gibbs has returned with a new album entitled You Only Die 1nce. A sequel to his 2017 project, You Only Live 2wice, the album spans 13 tracks across 37 minutes.
The album doesn’t’ contain any features, allowing Gibbs to stand on his own. Songs are varied in rhythm and beat, seeing the rapper seamlessly transition between styles, from the jazz-backed “Wolverine” to the dark “Ruthless.”
“On the Set” particularly stands out. The last song on the LP sees Gibbs pay homage to the late rappers Biggie, Tupac and Nipsey Hussle.
