Ford Unveils Its Latest Special Edition Bronco
The Baja-inspired “Bronco Stroppe Special Edition.”
Ford is bringing back a legendary name with the introduction of the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, paying homage to the iconic Baja-winning Stroppe Baja Bronco from the 1960s and 1970s. This limited-edition Bronco combines the high-speed desert racing legacy of the original with modern off-road capabilities.
“The new Bronco Stroppe Special Edition captures the spirit of Bill Stroppe’s original Baja Bronco,” said Jason Hyde, Bronco brand manager. It features performance enhancements like Fox Internal Bypass Dampers for desert running, a standard 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine and the Baja G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) Mode. Exclusive as a two-door model, it replaces the Wildtrak in Ford’s Bronco lineup, boasting off-road equipment like a Stabilizer Bar Disconnect, HOSS 3.0 suspension and 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires.
Notably, the Bronco Stroppe Special Edition’s exterior is adorned with a modern take on the original Stroppe livery, incorporating colors like Code Orange, Oxford White and Atlas Blue. The bold design includes squared-off high-clearance fenders, a matte black hood and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Unique branding like the “Stroppe Special Edition” and “Bronco” markings add to its heritage styling.
Inside, the cabin features Code Orange accents throughout, from the grab handles to the G.O.A.T. mode dial, giving a nod to its racing heritage. “This combination of colors and the design is an iconic tribute to the Baja Bronco, and it honors the history and performance of the brand,” said North American Design Director Gordon Platto.
At the time of writing, details on price and availability for the 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition have not yet been announced.
