Zenith x Porter Reveal Travel-Centric Pilot Watch Collaboration
Dressed in khaki ceramic.
It’s out of the bag. Zenith and Porter, the popular Japanese bag brand, have partnered for an unexpected collaboration. Unifying on a travel theme, the two brands presented a duo of limited-edition Pilot watches clad in khaki ceramic.
Arriving in a 40mm case size, the Zenith Pilot Automatic Porter Edition mirrors its khaki-hued case with a tonal dial. Geared with 60 hours of power reserve, the reference runs on the Swiss Maison’s El Primero 3620 movement, complete with a 6 o’clock date.
Similarly, the Zenith Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter Edition also comes in a matching color palette but features a slightly larger case size of 42.5mm. Housed inside the timepiece is the El Primero 3652 caliber, offering 60 hours of power reserve along with the big date, chronograph and flyback functions.
Faithful to the model’s DNA, the dial on both variants is implemented with horizontal grooves, emulating the look of corrugated metal sheets from vintage aircraft. Arabic numerals along with logos are filled with lume for low-light readability. Meanwhile, under well-lit conditions, the markings brighten the watch face in a pristine white. Adding a splash of color to the dial are orange handsets, nodding to the iconic hue seen on Porter’s bags’ interiors.
The Pilot Automatic Porter Edition has a price tag of $11,300 USD, while the Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter Edition retails for $15,500 USD. A limited production of 500 units, both models are accompanied by a khaki Codura effect rubber strap as well as a nylon khaki strap by Porter, all available for order via Zenith starting October 26.
