Breguet Unveils A Duo of Classique Wristwatches in Platinum
Starring Grand Feu enamel dials.
For the first time, Breguet has introduced two platinum references to its Classique lineup: the Classique 5177 and Classique 7787.
Encased in 950 platinum, both references are outfitted with Grand Feu enamel dials in a slick black. Adorning the sophisticated dials are Breguet-style numerals and handset, accompanied by asterisk minute tracks that alternate between diamond motifs and stick figures every quarter.
The Classique 5177 comes in a slim 38mm case diameter with the aforementioned design details, on top of an elegant tone-on-tone 3 o’clock date window. Priced at £37,400 GBP (approx. $ 48,491 USD), this model is geared with a 777 Q Manufacture caliber. The movement is fitted with an 18-carat rhodium-plated gold oscillating weight, complete with a special “starry mosaic” guilloché motif and inscribed with “BREGUET EDITION SPECIALE.”
Priced at £44,400 GBP (around $57,567 USD), the Classique 7787 reference is presented with a more romantic watch face. Starring a crescent moon profile with a cut-out window, the features offer a clear reading of the 29.5 days of the lunar phase cycle. Embellishing the lower half of the dial is a fan-shaped power-reserve scale that indicates how far the 591 DRL in-house movement is used up from its 38-hour reserve. The 22-carat gold micro-rotor is rhodium-plated and features a “barley grain” guilloché, all viewable through the watch’s open caseback.
