Update: Awake NY has returned to offer an official look at its collaborative Jordan Air Ship “Game Royal” sneaker, alongside a fully-fledged ready-to-wear collection of sportswear and loungewear.
As previously reported, the footwear model builds on the duo’s “University Red” design from last year, with a yellow-ish midsole, a scuffed outsole and blue accent details around the silver Swoosh and on the snakeskin collar.
The accompanying clothing line includes dual-branded varsity jackets, with all-over patches representing both labels’ classic iconography, as well as basketball shorts boasting the number “23,” and long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts with the collaboration’s joint logo work.
The collection will be available to shop in Awake’s NY flagship store and online on November 2nd at 12 p.m. EST. See the lineup in the gallery above.
Original Story: It’s been over a year since we caught a first look at a project between Awake NY and Jordan Brand involving the Air Ship in red and blue colorways. While the former ended up touching down on shelves in March, we’re only just now seeing the “Game Royal” iteration drop in the weeks to come.
In anticipation of the Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship “Game Royal” dropping, we have a detailed look at what to expect from the sneaker. As with its red predecessor, the pair has been artificially aged with a yellowed midsole and dusty outsole. As for the upper, its silver Swooshes are outlined in blue, matching the blue found on the snakeskin collar. Awake’s “A” script also reappears via stitching at the lateral midfoot.
At the time of writing, neither Awake NY nor Jordan Brand have officially announced when their “Game Royal” take on the Air Ship will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery of the kicks, as we currently expect the sneaker to drop via Awake NY on November 2 at a starting price of $150 USD.
