Electronic music legend Aphex Twin is hosting a completely free listening party at the historic Tate Modern Gallery of London for the reissue of Selected Ambient Works Volume II.
The event marks the 30th anniversary of Aphex Twin’s 1994 L,P which was an sequel the previous Selected Ambient Works 85-92 LP. The artist’s label Warp Records is celebrating with an extended reissue of the album, including a previously vinyl-exclusive track called #19 and a number of other unreleased songs. The listening event will take place on Friday, October 25 at the Tate Modern South Tank, Blavatnik Building, Level 0 with no RSVP or ticketing required.
While being arguably one of the most impactful electronic artists of his generation Aphex Twin remains an enigmatic figure who stays out of the spotlight. After the Collapse LP in 2018, the artist was relatively quiet up until 2023 when he reemerged post-pandemic teasing new projects and playing his first DJ set in four years at Field Day 2023.
The reissue was released on October 4 and is available to stream everywhere. Listen to the full album below.
