Tierra Whack Gets Ready for the Day in "Shower Song" Music Video
The first single off of the ‘World Wide Whack’ LP.
Just earlier this week, Tierra Whack announced her forthcoming “debut album,” World Wide Whack. While the singer previously released Whack World back in 2018, a project that received critical acclaim, she’s seemingly looking to start fresh with a new project.
The Philadelphia artist has now returned with the first single from World Wide Whack, “Shower Song.” True its name, the track hears Whack walk listeners through her daily shower routine as she readies herself for the day.
“Gettin’ ready for my day / So, I gotta get fresh,” she sings. “Gotta exfoliate / You know Dove is the best.”
For the visual, Whack tapped conceptual artist Alex Da Corte, who brought a uniquely animated twist, placing the singer against a cartoon-like background. Da Corte also created the cover art for World Wide Whack, which was described as being inspired by an eclectic mix of influences – among them are the 17-century clown character Pierrot, designer Elsa Schiaparelli and Donna Summer.
