Converse Engineers a Boot Version of the All Star Trek Wave
Reimagining the standard Chelsea boot.

Converse’s All-Star Trek sneakers have been the go-to for fans of the brand seeking to add some extra height to the classic High Top. The shoes were a revamped version of the Chuck Taylor All-Star with a grippy platform outsole.
Following the popularity of that release, Converse went on to put out the All-Star Trek Wave, a fashion-forward reimagination that features a wavy, extra-chunky outsole that rounded into the sneaker at the toe and heel tab.
Building on the boot-like properties of the All-Star Trek Wave, the brand has now returned with an actual boot. The shoe, which has yet to receive an official name, is essentially a Chelsea boot mimicking the silhouette of the All-Star Trek Wave sneakers.
The boots are made out of black leather with black mesh side paneling imprinted with the All-Star badge. Loops for pulling the boots on and off are located at the front and back of the ankles. Converse’s distinct toe cap also makes an appearance.
In all black, the sole is more subtle than it appears on the All-Star Trek Wave sneakers. It also isn’t your run-of-the-mill Chelsea boot, as, with its All-Star Trek lineup, Converse has a unique approach of essentially stacking the outsole of the sneaker on top of the platform rather than integrating the two soles.
Converse has yet to provide an exact release date or pricing but the All-Star Trek Wave boots are expected to be releasing this month.
