Inviting David Hellqvist, Odunayo Ojo, and Barbour’s director of menswear Ian Bergin to a panel discussion with Hypebeast.

British lifestyle brand Barbour is set to take the latest edition of Pitti Uomo this month, hosting a special event at its Florence-based store. Through the lens of its new Heritage+ collection, the upcoming event will focus on the importance of heritage, identity, and constantly evolving design.
As a regular installment at Pitti Uomo, the lifestyle brand has become a must-see in the festival’s event schedule. Bringing history and craftsmanship to the revered fashion stage, it finds its community of wax-jacket enthusiasts embracing its annual curated events in search of creative inspiration and insider industry knowledge.
With 2024 marking Barbour’s 130th anniversary, this month’s celebratory event will explore its heritage from a wide-angled perspective, uncovering how it has stayed relevant whilst maintaining its iconic identity. In an intimate panel talk chaired by Hypebeast, art director David Hellqvist, journalist Odunayo Ojo also known as Fashion Roadman, and director of Barbour menswear Ian Bergin will discuss the allure of heritage in fashion by unpicking the brand’s best moments as well as future outlook. The talk will also take place amongst a surrounding exhibition of its latest collection as well as key pieces from its archives.
