Action Bronson Reveals Yet Another New Balance 1906R Collaboration, the "Medusa Azúl"
Bronsoliño and NB’s action-packed start to 2024 continues.

Action Bronson has revealed his third 1906R collaboration in as many weeks with New Balance. Dubbed the “Medusa Azúl,” the new colorway joins previously-revealed “Scorpius” and “Rosewater” iterations of the runner in what’s shaping up to be a hectic year for the multihyphenate’s partnership with the brand.
The “Medusa Azúl” offers a more muted look than the two previously revealed colorways, but “muted” is relative when it comes to Bronson’s designs. Two shades of blue coat the 1906R’s mesh-and-synthetic upper — in a layered fashion that Bronson acknowledged via an Instagram Stories post that simply read “Depth” — and are accented by hits of earthy brown on the midfoot plus grey on the tongue, black on the heel cage and mudguard and black/purple boot-style circular laces. Down below, two-tone Abzorb midsoles work with blue and gum outsoles to complete the look. Due to its palette and moniker, the “Medusa Azúl” could be viewed as an extension of Bronson’s past blue-based footwear work, namely 2023’s 990v6 “Lapis Lazuli” collaboration.
At the time of writing, a release date for the Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Medusa Azúl” has yet to be revealed. However, it’s likely to touch down later this year, either in staggered fashion with the “Scorpius” and “Rosewater” or all as part of one jumbo drop. Stay tuned for more info as it’s made available.
