A. A. Spectrum Explores Cross-Sensory Experiences for SS24
Entitled “SYNEAST-THEASIA.”

A. A. Spectrum has revealed “SYNEAST-THEASIA,” its new unisex lineup for Spring/Summer 2024. Drawing from the concept of synaesthesia, a condition where one may feel like they could taste color or even visualize sounds. Fascinated by this phenomenon, design director Kevin Tallon invites wearers to embrace these cross-sensory experiences in the form of innovative pattern cutting, muted color palettes and the use of intriguing textural contrasts.
The brand describes Tallon’s vision for “SYNEAST-THEASIA” as a new world of creative expression, where garments are likened to freshly cut plants that being “torn away from their fabric rolls, and intertwined with metallic components.“ The dominance of a vegetal color palette is juxtaposed by the unnatural sheen of metallic accents, while free-flowing forms and rigid and structural forms permeate the collection.
Amongst the lineup are a mix of new and updated styles from the brand. This includes perennial bestselling silhouettes such as the CYBERN SPRING jacket, now introduced in a new fig green colorway. Aerial influences are also present in the collection in the likes of the hybrid shell bomber SKYSAIL jacket, DARKHAVEN parka and the ECLIPSE cargo pants.
