LỰU ĐẠN FW24 Outfits the "Dangerous Man"
With anarchic faux-fur coats, biker jackets, “Riot” trousers and more.

Menswear label LỰU ĐẠN (Vietnamese for “dangerous man”) has returned to lift the veil on its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, titled “DO OR DIE.” The dare-devilish lineup marks the punkish menswear brand’s sixth output; and in 28 looks, it builds on the confident, militant character that founder and creative director Hung La (of Kwaidan Editions notoriety) has crafted over the last several seasons.
In the collection’s notes, La emphasizes the transformational qualities of his next-season designs, stating that they “needed the realness of personhood to bring them to life.” To accomplish this, the designer hired a misfit cast — Jiman, an older Malaysian punk-rocker who now practices law; Hao, a Chengdu DJ who he met in Shanghai, and James, a “reformed bad boy” — to star in his rebellious lookbook.
On Jiman, Hao and James, LỰU ĐẠN’s reformist persona reaches actualization. The standout pieces include an acid-washed green jumpsuit, a fringed-leather biker jacket with coordinating chaps, a faux-fur patchwork coat and zippered, “Riot”-inspired trousers. This eclecticism has La’s references to thank: “motocross mixed with fight-club, heavy sleaze, nocturnal tendencies and ultimate defiance.”
