Coperni has revealed a new buzzy accessory and this time it’s a tug at the nostalgic heartstrings. Combining a 2000s childhood favorite hand-held game, the French brand partnered with BANDAI for a Tamagotchi collaboration.
The fashion brand has unveiled a miniature tech-y iteration of its signature Swipe Bag with the Tamagotchi Swipe Case. Arriving in three colors, a navy blue, black and silver edition, the styling mimics that of the CD-Player Swipe Bag that was 3D printed in Paris in 2023 as well as the Air Swipe Bag from last year. Maintaining its iconic shape, the Tamagotchi Swipe bag continues to see Coperni add to its viral moments, giving its accessory a kitschy Y2K makeover.
The latest collaboration speaks to the brand’s ability to create experimental Swipe Bags that are both futuristic and retro. From created a bag shaped entirely out of glass to now, an unprecedented collaboration that takes millennials back to their childhood, Coperni brings amusement to fashion accessories, stepping away from what is expected. The Tamagotchi collaboration was revealed at its Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 show. It is uncertain if the Tamagotchi Swipe Bag will be released for the general public at the moment.
