1017 ALYX 9SM Announces New Partnership Between Matthew M. Williams and Adrian Cheng
Expansion plans are in the works.

Back in November, news broke out that Hong Kong-based cultural entrepreneur, Adrian Cheng had acquired a majority stake in Matthew M. Williams’ 1017 ALYX 9SM. Just now, the label has confirmed Williams’ and Cheng’s official partnership, teasing their new vision and plans for 1017 ALYX 9SM.
As the label steps into its 10th year, a new era will prevail following the relocation of 1017 ALYX 9SM’s headquarters from Ferrara to Paris. Consequently, Matthew M. Williams will return to Paris Fashion Week this summer to showcase the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 menswear and womenswear collections.
Expansion plans for the brand are also in the works for the next two years. Product and distribution channels will also be readdressed as Cheng assists Williams in revamping 1017 ALYX’s 9SM’s wholesale approach. There are also plans to open standalone retail locations in cities where the brand’s key audience resides.
Throughout 2024, 1017 ALYX 9SM will also be releasing exclusive direct-to-consumer drops via pop-up stores and retail partners. In celebrating its 10th anniversary, a series of exciting events, re-editions and special launches will also be unveiled in the year.
