Tom Wood Opens Redesigned Flagship in Oslo
In line with the contemporary jewelry brand’s tenth anniversary.
Tom Wood has officially opened its doors to its redesigned flagship store in Oslo, Norway. Designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based design agency Specific Generic, the long-awaited sleek retail space takes a minimalistic design approach, curated with sustainability at the vanguard.
However, the store “is not just a retail space,” CEO of Tom Wood, Morten Isachsen conveys. “It’s a celebration of our brand’s journey, our commitment to artistic innovation, and our dedication to offering jewelry that becomes a part of people’s stories.”
Tom Wood tapped Specific Generic for the initial design of its Oslo flagship back in 2020. The pair’s creative compatibility is again evident in the newly designed flagship: an appropriately elevated atmosphere for Tom Wood’s timeless yet cutting-edge designs.
Specific Generic prioritized the use of sustainable mediums throughout the construction process. Recycled materials such as aluminum and steel at the forefront, Tom Wood ensured a thoughtful approach and respect for the materials.
A “flexible wall” stands in the middle of the store, which sees the implementation of portable cabinets, mirrors and screens – thus allowing for easy alterations in displays. A wooden bench hand-carved by Swedish furniture artist Niklas Runesson is the flagship’s other standout piece.
