Burberry Launches "Burberry Streets" City Takeover Series
With the first concept landing at Norman’s Cafe in North London.
Burberry will be bringing its timeless ethos around the world as part of the newly announced “Burberry Streets” program: “a series of takeovers that celebrate the art of discovery and exploration in cities worldwide.” Burberry’s first Streets venture comes just ahead of London Fashion Week; the luxury label will be joining forces with North London’s beloved Norman’s Cafe to curate an exceptional, on-brand, elevated dining experience.
“Experiences, installations and events will unfold across the city – each showcasing the brand’s signatures, such as seasonal check in knight blue, rose print, and the newly redefined Equestrian Knight Design,” Burberry explains of the new initiative in a press release.
Burberry will bring its branding to Norman’s’ interiors and service ware, and partner with the eatery to curate an exclusive menu. Additionally, a traveling Burberry x Norman’s food truck will make the rounds to Duke of York Square and 180 Strand throughout Fashion Week. The Equestrian Knight will appear in chalk sketches on park paths, and Burberry’s infamous house symbols alongside Daniel Lee‘s new rose print iconography will be plastered throughout London; London’s black taxis will even be wrapped in the alluring print as well.
The launch of Burberry Streets also aligns with Lee’s Winter 2023 collection – the designer’s first collection with the house – which is available to shop in stores and online now. “We are so excited to see Daniel’s first collection arriving in store and online,” Burberry CMO Rod Manley shared in a press release. “With our redesigned website, new brand signifiers across product and branding and the launch of our global Burberry Streets initiative here in our home market, we’re looking forward to sharing the new Burberry world with our clients.”
The Burberry x Norman’s pop-up will open to the public on September 13, and remain open through September 18. Burberry Streets will hit both Seoul and Shanghai in October.
