Glashütte Original’s New Chronograph Embodies the Timeless Spirit of the Swinging Sixties
Aptly named the Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition.
Inspired by the philosophy of self-presentation from the 1960s, Glashüette Original is adopting the era’s timeless zeitgeist into the aptly named Sixties Chronograph Annual Edition timepiece.
Attired in a 42mm stainless steel case, the chronograph stars a stone-gray dial in a varnished, embossed, and dégradé finish. Accentuating the smoky-hued watch face are rod-shaped indices, as well as hour and minute hands crafted in red gold. Meanwhile, the 12 and 6 o’clock marks are adorned with slightly abstract Arabic numerals for a touch of individuality.
Geared with three bars of water resistance, the reference is fitted with Incabloc shock protection, and powered by the automatic 39-34 movement. Completing the watch are contrasting synthetic straps in dark blue, which harmoniously complement the cool-toned dial.
