Nicolas Di Felice‘s Courrèges is fascinated with the future, pushing innovation to the forefront since its founding in 1961. André and Coqueline Courrèges’ eponymous label has sat on Di Felice’s lap for three years, modernizing its output for fearless men and women.

For Spring/Summer 2024, Courrèges broke ground at Paris Fashion Week (literally). It started with an interactive show invite featuring a break-to-reveal concept that uncovers additional details. Once inside, floors were sheltered in cement, seeing models walk the square-shaped runway, leaving rubble in their wake.

The collection was sensual and classic, dominated by black and white tones. Shorts and dresses merged into long-sleeve garments with enhanced movement, while others were pinned at the chest with contrasting collars. Embossed crocodile outlines appeared subtly on patent leather bottoms, slit at the knees to reveal skin beneath. Form-fitting blazers donned shoulder buckles with utilitarian flair, while motorcycle jackets and belted bottoms oozed with rebellion.

Di Felice’s SS24 collection was classic and elevated, seeing angular tops boast boat-style necklines and oval-shaped chest vents. His futuristic design language was spread across chrome bras that mirrored the audience, sensually arriving in semi-translucent versions. The show was closed by a metal poncho that jiggled at every step, grasping the spotlight with ultra-modern aptitude.
