Danish electronics manufacturer, Bang & Olufsen, is known for its affinity for high-end speakers, headphones, soundbars and even televisions like its recently released 97-inch BeoVision Harmony TV. Well, now the company’s lineup of products is getting larger with its new Beolab 8 speaker.
The new speaker takes form as a compact, standalone device. However, it still packs the punch and contemporary design sensibilities that the other B&O speakers contain. But even though the speaker is smaller, what builds the sound is its ability to be used either alone or as a pair with another Beolab 8. Giving the speaker is refined design are Danish-manufactured wooden lamellas or fabric front-wrapped finish options around its one-piece aluminum frame.
“Drawing inspiration from the high-end Beolab range, our aim for Beolab 8 was to distill the acoustic essence of these impressive speakers into a compact offering,” says Michael Henriksson, B&O’s vice president of product marketing. “Beolab 8 is a scalable speaker that is all about flexibility, performance, and innovation and fulfills our goal of creating powerful and immersive listening experiences for our customers.”
Take a look a the speaker in the gallery above. Starting at $5,498 for a pair, the Beolab 8 speaker is set to release in-store and online on October 30.
