One of few silhouettes to compete with the omnipresence of the Dunk Low for Nike is the Air Force 1. The design celebrated its 40th anniversary last year and the Swoosh has done anything but slow down with its output since. On top of the low-top’s onslaught of colorways, July served as the reveal month for another iteration on the sneaker — introducing the Air Force 1 Wild.

While it remains unannounced by Nike still, the shoe draws notable inspiration from the brand’s outdoor-oriented footwear. Shoes such as the Air Humara are directly referenced with the midsole’s checkered pattern while the latest colorway to surface takes on a “Wheat Gold” suitable for the fall season ahead. Its signature hue dresses the durable upper with “Rugged Orange” chiming in at the outermost heel layer and lacing system while a strong purple arrives at the inner heel. Underneath, a rugged black outsole completes the pair.

We’re still awaiting Nike’s official announcement of the Air Force 1 Wild’s debut. However, it’s currently expected to take place in the coming months via the Swoosh and select retailers at a starting price of $140 USD.
