Timex Premieres a Minimalistic Giorgio Galli S2 Watch

Timex just introduced its all-new S2 Swiss Made collection featuring timepieces crafted in collaboration with Giorgio Galli, the brand’s Creative Director and also Leica Q3 Brand Ambassador. The new collection spotlights understated designs that amalgamate heritage with innovation, with the Giorgio Galli S2 watch being the highlighted model.
In the official press release, the watchmaker also notes that “while the S1 was intended to be the most “Timex” Timex ever made, the Giorgio Galli S2 is a boundary-pushing step towards the future, combining rich minimalism with the precision and expertise only found at the Timex Group Atelier in Switzerland.”
“To me, Timex is different from any other brand, because it stands for independence, timeless beauty, quality, and incredible value. Being able to sculpt the legacy of this iconic brand has been a joy, and I’m honored to put my name on this collection,” says Galli.
Measuring 38mm in diameter, the watch features a stainless steel case that’s injection-molded. Doused in a stunning onyx black color, the minimalist enamel is accented with a sleek, silver-tone hour track and matching handset.
The exhibition caseback offers a glimpse of the Sellita SW200-1 caliber, an intricate Swiss-made movement that offers 41 hours of power reserve and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph.
Completing the Giorgio Galli S2 watch is a highly durable black rubber strap that harmoniously blends with its minimalistic appearance. The timepiece is currently available via Timex’s website for $975 USD.
