Slam Jam has partnered with Levi’s in honor of its 150th anniversary. Together, the two brands took a Levi’s classic, the 501 jean, and added a unique twist.

For the limited release, Slam Jam emblazoned the 501 with its own logo, highlighting the distinct upside-down “A.” The pair also features a QR code on a textile patch, which wearers can scan to be taken to an exclusive video exploring the impact of the 501.

Slam Jam interviewed its own team members from its New York office, each of whom offers up their own take on the jeans and when they bought their first pair of Levi’s, with one interviewee even having the same pair for 15 years.

“Strictly 501 jean since 1978” Slam Jam founder Luca Benini said, citing the same year that Levi’s first began shipping out jeans to his home country of Italy. Less than a decade later, Benini would go on to launch his own brand.

Slam Jam and Levi’s are only releasing 150 pairs of the special 501 jean, available exclusively on Slam Jam’s website.
