IWC Readies Its First Full-Lume Pilot’s Watch
Developed in collaboration with the Black Aces pilots.

IWC just unveiled the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Black Aces, the first of its series to feature a fully luminous dial.
Housed in a black zirconium oxide ceramic case, the new reference measures 41mm in width and 11.4mm in height. Capable of storing light energy, the full-lume white Lumicast dial is incorporated with high-grade Super-LumiNova pigments.
The simple and fuss-free dial design stars IWC’s signature high-contrast sans serif Arabic numerals, complete with the distinct triangular index at the 12 o’clock mark. Perched above the 6 o’clock mark, is the Black Aces logo as proof of IWC’s collaboration with members of Strike Fighter Squadron 41 (VFA-41).
Turning over to the caseback, the watch features an engraved graphic of Black Ace’s signature aircraft. In terms of technical specifications, the time-teller is equipped with the IWC-manufactured 32100 caliber, an automatic movement that’s geared with 21 jewels, 28,800vph, and a power reserve of up to three days.
Released as an IWC online exclusive, the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Black Aces is priced at $6,800 USD.
