Quavo Drops Music Video for ‘Rocket Power’ Track “Hold Me”
Paying tribute to the late Migos at a memorial service.
Quavo has shared a new music video for “Hold Me” that shows him attending a memorial service for the late Takeoff. The song comes off of Quavo’s latest album, Rocket Power, which arrived on Friday and heard the rapper pay tribute to his fellow Migos.
In the video for “Hold Me,” Quavo wears a shirt printed with Takeoff’s face, the back reading “1994 – Infinity.” Joined by family and friends, he heads to a grassy field to release lanterns in memorial to Takeoff.
“Do you feel like you can get through the hard times? / Do you feel like you can get on your knees and just pray to the Lord through the hard times?,” Quavo raps on the song. “You know what you need, I just need you to hold me / Listen and feel my heart closely.”
Rocket Power contains two tracks with verses from Takeoff, “Patty Cake” and “Back Where It Begins” with Future.
“This album is for the Rocket our true fans and also this is my therapy,” Quavo about the album in May. “This is album is a true reflection of how I feel right now. Sometimes I’m Good, sometimes I’m Down, sometimes I’m Disappointed, sometimes I fall apart but then I ALWAYS find my strength again.”
