As the end of the month approaches, Swatch and OMEGA are back with another ultra-limited MoonSwatch release. This time around, the duo unveiled a Mission to Neptune that’s paired with a gold seconds hand to welcome this year’s Blue Moon.

So far, 2023 has been a year for the Mission to Moonshine Gold MoonSwatch, with a different variation revealed every month. The last few iterations centered around the same watch body, with the central chronograph hand serving as the only differentiation between each model.

Breaking the pattern for the first time this year, the Mission Neptune comes in a 42mm bioceramic blue case, framing a dark blue dial fastened with a black, velcro strap. Brightening up the dial is a clean, simple golden seconds hand that’s coated with recycled gold from Swatch’s certified refinery. Like all previous Moonshine Gold offerings, the golden hand was crafted until a full moon, complete with a certificate to prove it.

Retailing for $300 USD, the Mission to Neptune MoonSwatch will be available for one day only on August 30 at 99 Swatch stores and across 86 cities around the world this time. For more information, check out the full list of stores on Swatch’s dedicated webpage.
