Nike Fortifies the Air Max 97 With Ripstop and Fishnet Materials
Presented in an “Dark Olive” and “Sail” combo ready for the outdoors.
The Nike Air Max 97, which has been receiving lots of love lately due to its Futura iterations, takes things back to the OG silhouette, this time with subtle outdoor-ready material updates.
Draped in “Dark Olive” and accented with “Sail” signature stripes, this example of the 97 presents itself as ready for some of the most rugged wear, featuring ripstop and fishnet mesh panels, providing support and durability. The pair also features trail-style laces and a speckled black outsole that sits under the Air Max 97’s signature full-length cushioning system.
Branding details found on the pair include burnt orange Swooshes at the mid-foot window, color matched at the tongue and at the bottom of the outsole as accenting stripes.
The exact date of release has not yet been shared at the time of writing, although, the pair is expected to retail for $180 USD on Nike’s official site and select retailers soon.
