Louis Erard and The Horophile Drop Art Deco-Inspired Watch Collaboration
Unveiling the La Petite Seconde Metropolis limited edition.
Louis Erard has teamed up with watch influencer, Amr Sindi aka The Horophile, to release a collaborative watch collection.
Centering the independent horologer’s Petite Seconde model, the collaboration introduces La Petite Seconde Metropolis. Comprising a trio of New York Art Deco-inspired references, arriving in Slate, Salmon, and Tobacco.
Presented in a 39mm case size, the collaborative limited-edition model comes encased in a polished stainless steel material. Its dial features a circular and satin-finished exterior, counter, and a gadrooned center, encircled by Arabic numerals in a fitting Art Deco font. Adding to the vintage New York aesthetic, the hour and minute hands arrive in a skeletonized stepped baton design that emulates the silhouette of the Empire State Building.
At the heart of the timepiece beats a Sellita SW261-1 caliber, an élaboré grade movement featuring a special open-worked oscillating weight. Beating at a rate of 28,800vph, it also powers the reference with up to 38 hours of running time.
Including a one-off model for The Horophile, a total of 178 examples are produced for the La Petite Seconde Metropolis. Each colorway is priced at 2,300 CHF (approximately $2,598 USD) and is released as a 59-piece limited edition. Those who are interested can head to Louis Erard’s official website for more information.
Elsewhere in watches, MB&F readies the HM9 Sapphire Vision editions in two new colorways.
