Kylie Jenner's Bratz Collaboration Proves She's One of "The Girls With a Passion for Fashion"

It’s the 2000s all over again, as Bratz makes a comeback with its first-ever celebrity collection, tapping one of the world’s biggest influencers and beauty moguls, Kylie Jenner.

The new collection of Mini Bratz dolls reimagines six iconic looks pulled by Jenner, who recently hit headlines after she said she and the Kardashian-Jenner family needed to rethink the “beauty standards” they “set.” More specifically, Jenner said: “All of us just need to have a bigger conversation about the beauty standards that we’re setting,” adding, “I don’t want my daughter to do the things I did.”

Regardless, a new collection of dolls is set to imminently release — fit for collectors of all ages. It’s apt timing, given the current buzz around the competitive Barbie movie and the feminist themes it discusses and sets. Like Margot Robbie’s Barbie makeover, the Mini Bratz collection also gives Kylie Jenner a makeover inspired by the original dolls, while infusing elements of her own style and aesthetic.

Speaking on the project, Jenner said: “I have been a fan of Bratz since childhood and I’ve always wanted my own Bratz doll. I have loved every step of the process this past year in creating these dolls alongside the Bratz team. I’m so excited they are here!”

Bratz Creative Director, Jasmin Larian, added: “This is a seminal moment in Bratz history to join forces with Kylie Jenner as the brand’s first-ever celebrity collaboration. Kylie truly embodies everything Bratz has stood for since its inception 22 years ago — from being disruptive and rebellious to energetic and expressive. Not only will this collaboration expand to Kylie’s millions of fans, but it will also reach the audiences that grew up with Bratz and are excited to relive the Y2K Bratz lifestyle today. We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Kylie into the Bratz family.”

In addition to the Kylie Jenner Mini Bratz dolls, the collection will also bring a miniature figure of Jenner’s Italian greyhound, Norman, and a cruiser. The Mini Bratz x Kylie Collectibles collection is available globally on August 1, online and in-stores at select Walmart, Amazon, Target, Macy’s, Walgreens, and Bratz’s website — and there’s also more to come.

In other news, LEGO has dropped a 3,000-piece Captain America shield.
