Axel Arigato's Marathon Sphere and Neo Runners Get Y2K Makeovers

Sweden-based imprint Axel Arigato is preparing to debut two new versions of its renowned Marathon sneaker, giving the runner Y2K makeovers. Axel Arigato’s Marathon model combines retro and futuristic styles for a unique look, continuing its journey with the Marathon Sphere Runner and Marathon Neo Runner.
Both models embrace a ’90s aesthetic through nostalgic designs that keep comfort at the forefront, combining relaxed materials for an athletic experience. Arriving in three neutral colorways, the Marathon Sphere Runner boasts handcrafted leather uppers, wide-spread mesh toe boxes, and reflective silver trimmings throughout. The sport-enhancing pair is complete with branded tongue tags and aged sole units.
Axel Arigato’s Marathon Neo Runner is slated to launch later this month, taking inspiration from alfresco exploration and features suede paneling, two-toned layered underpinnings, and an overall chunky body. The cushioned design is ruthless and protective, stacked atop embossed soles in neon hues.
