Jameson and Lovers FC Celebrate Grassroots Football With New Jersey Collection
Teaming up with three of women’s football most notable grassroots clubs in celebration of the Women’s World Cup.
In celebration of the current Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, football brand Lovers FC and long-term grassroots football champion, Jameson, have teamed up with three of the women’s grassroots games’ most prominent teams to create three bold designs that nod to the eclectic heritage of iconic international kits.
One of the chosen teams, LGBTQIA+ champions, Peaches FC, has chosen to pay respects to the Ireland Away kit from 1997. Additionally, Ex-Girfriend FC’s shirt sees the team tip its hat to one of the most infamous kits of all time: the England Goalkeeper kit from 1995. Finally, the boundary-blurring Victoria Park Vixens take inspiration from their founder’s down under roots, choosing the 1991 Australia Home shirt.
Commenting on the release of the new jerseys, Jameson’s Marketing Director, Leanne Banks said: “We are super proud to be continuing our support of grassroots football and this time to be giving back to the women’s game, the unsung champions, and the players themselves that keep the game alive.”
Furthermore, the new collection has also enlisted an unsung hero of the grassroots game: portrait photographer, Serena Brown, who has authentically captured a key member of each team and their individual heroes in the most sacred of post-match rituals — visiting the pub. The campaign captures each of the new jerseys, taking them through the regular match-day experience before fans head to the terraces.
