Junya WATANABE MAN x INNERRAUM Is the Final Boss of Gorpcore

Junya WATANABE MAN‘s Fall/Winter 2023 collection was a collaborative paradise, working with Carhartt WIP, Palace, Levi’s, New Balance, GORE-TEX, and INNERRAUM, to name a few. Yesterday, eYe Junya Watanabe MAN released its Carhartt Parka jacket, and now the much-anticipated INNERRAUM collaboration is here, exclusively available via Dover Street Market London.
Kicking off this four-piece drop is a technical vest, dipping stealthily into the Gorpcore world. Served up in a menacing black colorway, the gear is equipped with a multitude of tactical pockets and ratchet bindings, utilizing INNERRAUM’s 100% PU matte black construction techniques to craft sculptural, alien-like boxes, zipped pockets, and bag shapes on the jacket.
It gets totally wild on the rear, as Junya WATANABE MAN and the Berlin-based technical imprint collaborate on a sort of exoskeleton structure, decking the rear out for whatever the world throws at you.
Accompanying the technical vest are three bags — two crossbody examples, and one shoulder iteration. All are also served in black, and of course carry over the gorpy details from the vest, such as pockets, ratchets, and nylon elements.
