ASICS Debuts Limited GEL-KAHANA TR V2 "MOON PACK"
Complete with special space themed packaging.
ASICS is set to release a new ultra modern take on its GEL-KAHANA TR V2 under a limited edition set titled “MOON PACK,” which includes the silhouette in two colorways, one light and one dark — presumably symbolic of the light and dark sides of the moon.
With exploration at its core, the pair feature utilitarian style external lacing systems for added support and style, this system includes a set of main laces that are weaved through metal eyelets and kept in place with metal hooks at the top of the upper. The secondary lace system provides increased stability as it begins at the toe and wraps around the entire upper, secured at the heel with an adjustable clasp system.
Primary materials found throughout both pairs include layers of monochromatic mesh and rubberized ripstop, accompanied by semi-translucent ASICS stripe logos on the lighter of the two pairs. Each pair, at least during the debut, is expected to release with specially designed space-style foil packaging.
While unconfirmed, the “MOON PACK” at the time of writing, is thought to be a China-exclusive pair and is set to release through official ASICS channels starting August 12 at a retail price of $110 USD.
