In a new twist of events, Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is now being sued by the company that opeartes his virtual restaurant chain, MrBeast Burger. Earlier this month, MrBeast was reportedly suing Virtual Dining Concepts, the company behind his virtual burger restaurant, for sacrificing quality to expand the size of the business as quickly as possible. Now, it appears that the same company is countersuing the YouTuber for $100 million USD.

According to Variety, Virtual Dining Concepts and Celebrity Virtual Dining (VDC) are suing MrBeast and his Beast Investments “for failing to honor his contractual obligations, as well as intentional tortious interference.” The lawsuit, which has been obtained by the publication, stated that it is in response to Donaldson suing VDC and seeking to terminate the deal. MrBeast alleges that the burgers served were “disgusting,” “revolting,” and “inedible,” all while damaging his reputation. VDC later retaliated stating that the claims were “meritless” and “ill-advised.”

In the nine-figure lawsuit, VDC claims, “This case is about a social media celebrity who believes his fame means that his word does not matter, that the facts do not matter, and that he can renege and breach his contractual obligations without consequence. He is mistaken.” The formal complaint also alleges that Donaldson failed to comply to the contractual publicity and promotional obligations, while also failing to publicly support the brand. VDC pulls up old tweets from MrBeast who has in the past said that the deal was “terrible for my brand.”

MrBeast Burger originally launched in December 2020 and has since expanded to 1,700 global locations by the end of 2022. The company has one physical restaurant and the burger chain operates as a virtual brand run by partner kitchens around the world. VDC has backed other celebrity brands from Mariah Carey, Mario Lopez and DJ Pauly D.
