Aimé Leon Dore Releases Its New Balance 550s for Kids
Offering four of its collaborative colorways in infant, toddler and kid sizing.
The prominence of the New Balance 550 in today’s sneaker market can be significantly attributed in part to the efforts of Teddy Santis and his label Aimé Leon Dore (ALD). Throughout this decade, the brand has outfitted the sneaker in versatile looks that often integrate off-white in the color arrangement. Most recently, this involved the brand covering the sneaker in two suede looks.
Now, ALD has revisited some of its previous looks on the 550, redesigning them in kid sizing. Each recreation blends off-white with red, forest green, navy and gray respectively. Aside from the size difference, there’s little to distinguish these pairs from the original retail release, save for the Infant & Toddler pairs featuring a strap atop its lacing system.
For those looking to pick up a pair, Aimé Leon Dore has launched its New Balance 550s for kids in a total of four colorways in two sizing designations via its website. First, the Little Kids pairs are priced at $90 USD each and range from a 10.5 to a 3. As for the Infant & Toddler kicks, they’re available for $85 USD from a 2 to a 10.
