Studio Ghibli's 'My Neighbor Totoro' Skate Deck Is Actually a Clock
Featuring the Soot Sprites.
Studio Ghibli has unveiled a brand new My Neighbor Totoro product under its GBL line.
Doubling as both an interior design and functional piece, the Canadian maple-crafted skate deck features a fully-functioning clock on the top right corner. The deck itself stands at 80 centimeters long and 20.5 centimeteres wide and arrives with a black base, motifs of the Soot Sprites and a white illustration of Mei supposedly peeking into her new home. Although built as a deck, it’s not possible to attach trucks or wheels as the mechanism that makes the clock run is placed on the side of the grip tape.
The limited edition My Neighbor Totoro skate deck clock is available for pre-order now via GBL, with a retail price of ¥20,900 JPY (approximately $150 USD).
Elsewhere in design, Disney unveiled a Virgil Abloh-inspired Mickey Mouse.
