The SIZED SELECTS Upcycled Antique Wooden Stools Have Been Restocked
Drawing inspiration from hand-carved African tribal stools.
SIZED has restocked its collection of Upcycled Antique Stools on its website. First premiered last month as part of the platform’s ongoing SIZED SELECTS curatorial releases, the pieces are all carefully hand-constructed in the company’s Los Angeles studio.
Alexander May, the founder, creative director, and curator at SIZED created the stools based on his mesmerization with African tribal stools. Once the form of the chair is complete from the carving stage, May would douse it in pitch-black India ink, before adding the silvery upholstery studs as finishing touches. As a result, each stool is unique in shape and size, while its minimalist and versatile appeal allows it to accommodate any space.
Prices range from $1,240 – $1,520 USD, the Upcycled Antique Stools are available via SIZED’s online shop. For those who are interested in seeing the pieces in person, the collection is also currently on display at the SIZED STUDIO location in L.A.
