Kwengface Enlists Joy Orbison and Overmono for "Freedom 2"
Giving the UK drill anthem a club-ready garage spin.
Having only just released his 17-track mixtape The Memoir back in April, which was quickly followed up by his stellar COLORS performance which saw him reveal his face for the first time in over five years, UK drill rapper Kwengface has just given The Memoir‘s highlight, “Freedom” a fresh lease of life by enlisting two of the UK’s biggest underground dance names, Joy Orbison and Overmono for a “Freedom 2” remix.
The record still utilizes the same cut-throat rhymes from Kwengface’s original “Freedom” release, however, the record’s new interpretation leans into two-step-ready garage influences. Skippy percussion and low-end subs are used throughout the record, showcasing a new side to Kwengface which is soon to take over clubs and raves alike across all of the world’s major party destinations.
Additionally, “Freedom 2” marks the first time Kwengface has stepped into the dance world, however, this new drill-meets-garage banger announces the second time Joy Orbison and Overomono have come together on a track following their 2022-released anthem, “Blind Date.”
You can give “Freedom 2” a listen above and the song is available to stream in its entirety below.
