NAHMIAS SS24 Embraces All the Colors of Santa Barbara's "Queens of the Coast"
With hand-painted silk shirts, prismatic knitwear, leather moto jackets and more.
For Spring/Summer 2024, Los Angeles-bred fashion label NAHMIAS found its sartorial start in Santa Barbara’s revered surfing locale, “Queens of the Coast.” Through its kaleidoscopic fashions, the line articulates a love story for the famous beach, heralding the brand’s California roots through a range of laid-back, luxury cuts.
Among the lineup, silk shirts boast hand-painted motifs inspired by mermaids, sunsets and sunrises, while denim hosts colorful patchwork featuring playful illustrations of butterflies and mushrooms. Knitwear leans maximalist, mixing tones from all across the color wheel to create statement pieces donning similar imagery sourced from nature. Leisurewear, meanwhile, places an emphasis on detailing, elevating hoodies and sweatpants with signature hand-knitted trims.
Down the line, graphic T-shirts are more than just that, flaunting knitted embellishments across their constructions. At the center of the collection, a leather moto jacket reads “NAHMIAS” across its center in cursive typeface, while animated mushrooms and rainbow clams line its thick sleeves. Blazers similarly claim prominence, oftentimes tailored oversized, and workwear jackets embrace youthful style archetypes with all-over embroidery. Overall, the range adheres to NAHMIAS’ spirited DNA, offering up a slew of double-take-worthy designs that keep fine detailing at the fore.
