Ferrari Unveils Special-Edition SF90 XX Supercar
Boosting performance and aerodynamics.
Ferrari has revealed a special edition of its SF90 supercar, the SF90 XX.
The new high-performance model comes emerges features the same plug-in hybrid powertrain, which features a twin-turbocharged V8 engine and three electric motors. However, the enhanced engine boasts 786 horsepower, which is the result of enhanced inlet and exhaust ports, new pistons and an increased compression ratio. With the new Extra Boost feature, the total system output sits at 1016 horsepower.
Another standout detail is its 0-62 mph time of 2.3 seconds – 0.2 seconds faster than the standard SF90 model. Enhanced aerodynamics is another key area of elevation for the car as its elements have been redesigned to increase downforce. According to Ferrari, the model yields up to 1168 pounds of downforce at 155 mph. Additionally, the model keeps the rear active spoiler. However, it has been updated to move between low-drag and high-downforce modes.
