LEGO Architecture Reveals 2,125-Piece Himeji Castle Set
Recreating the Japanese fortress’ upper level with blooming gardens.
Each year, LEGO comes one step closer to recreating all of the world’s most notable landmarks as it continues to pay homage to iconic buildings throughout the world via its Architecture line. Recently, this has touched on masterpieces such as the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Taj Mahal. Now, the line is preparing to introduce a Japanese wonder — Himeji Castle — with a 2,125 piece set that encapsulates the fortress’ upper level.
In LEGO form, Himeji Castle features authentic details that include everything from castle turrets to asymmetric walls. Beyond functioning as an excellent display model, the set has a removable top that, when lifted, reveals its intricate interior. Nodding to its picturesque grounds, buildable cherry trees can be configured with green foliage or pink blossoms. Measuring over seven inches tall and 12 inches wide, the completed build can be appreciated from every angle.
For those looking forward to purchasing the LEGO Architecture Himeji Castle set, it is scheduled to release on August 1 via LEGO at a price of $160 USD.
