Stray Rats Teases Upcoming New Balance 574 Summer Collaboration
Bold hues for the warmer season.
Following the release of its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Julian Consuegra, founder of Stray Rats has teased his upcoming collaboration with New Balance. This is not his foray with the sneaker brand, previously releasing his own imprint on the New Balance 580.
On cue with his previous 580 collaboration, the upcoming partnership sees Stray Rats place his bold use of colors to the New Balance 574. The silhouette itself has long been a collaboration magnet. The 574 has featured collaborative models with brands like eYe Junya Watanabe MAN, Stone Island and Miu Miu in recent months. This time around, the model joins forces with Stray Rats for a vibrant collection of sneakers.
In an Instagram post, Consuegra appears to tease three different colorways for the upcoming New Balance 574 collaboration. Calling them the “summer flavors,” the shoes arrive in a suede and nylon makeup and come in purple/blue/red, red/black and olive/grey/pink colorways. According to the post, the collaboration is slated to drop mid-July exclusively on the Stray Rats online store. Look out for the shoes coming soon.
